September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, a CDC initiative designed to raise awareness of the growing childhood obesity epidemic in the United States. One in 3 children in the U.S. is overweight or obese, putting them at risk for health problems that were once seen only in adults.
In honor of National Childhood Obesity Month, Southlake Parks and Recreation is offering complimentary programs to get your family moving for a healthier fall.
All programs are free and take place at the Southlake Activity Center (307 Parkwood Drive). Pre-registration is required. If you have any questions, please contact Southlake Parks and Recreation at (817) 748-8019.
