  1. Mini Dribblers (Ages 4 - 5)

    October 16, 2017, 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM @ Durham Intermediate School

    (Min 10 - Max 20) This program will introduce children to the game of basketball by teaching the basic fundamentals of the sport. Participants will learn how to dribble, shoot, pass and other fun and exciting basketball skills in a well supervised environment. Teamwork, sportsmanship and overall fun will be emphasized. Don’t miss the last day of the session when the players will demonstrate the skills they have learned in the “Big Game.” Cost includes a jersey, trophy and youth-sized ball.

  2. Basketball Skills Academy Level 1: (Ages 5-7)

    Instructor: Bowmen Sports. Basketball fundamentals, ball handling, passing and an introduction to shooting basics are taught in this fun training class. This is a skill based program that uses drills and games to teach players more about the team sport. Our goal is to excite young players about the game of basketball. Participants must wear athletic shoes and bring a water bottle.

    Friends, family members and co-workers make great teammates in this exciting and competitive recreational league. Teams are responsible for their own jerseys. Players must be 35 by start of season, September 12, 2017. Teams may have up to 4 players between the ages of 30 and 34. Registration closes: September 1 Managers meeting: September 7 Season dates: September 11 – October 30 League playoffs: November 6 (top teams only) Rain out dates: November 13

    City of Southlake Therapeutic Recreation (TR) programs are an awesome opportunity for socialization and fun! This program meets weekly to provide individuals with mental or developmental disabilities their own night on the town with their friends! Creative, athletic and social activities take place each meeting. Evening activities may include movies, bowling, dining, tours, rock climbing, parks, etc. Transportation arrangements will be made to accommodate all participants as we venture out into the Metroplex for various activities. Weekly times and destinations are subject to change. Parents will receive an itinerary at the beginning of each session.
